About Kim

“Hej, my name is Kim Gerlach and I’m a multi-talented generalist with a yellow heart for all things sustainable.

My professional journey set out at a global consultancy, while I build my own blog, kim goes eko, in 2015. My task within sustainability and fashion was business development at VinoKilo, a social enterprise in Germany. What rewarding times!       Shortly after being Chief Sustainability Officer there, I’ve studied Leadership for Sustainability in Sweden. With the progressive Scandinavian mindset around me, I enjoyed the ups and downs of the startup ecosystem in Malmö.

Since 2018, I appeared on stage of Copenhagen Fashion Summit and NEONYT and have been featured in Vogue Germany and Vogue Australia, hurray!

And when there’s time left in the day, I mentor early-stage startups, contribute to Fashion Revolution and enjoy a dash of mindfulness in my everyday life.”

Why we’re doing what we’re doing

The current climate crisis is without any doubt one of the most pressing topics of our society. We use our energies for the greater good and support this outdated industry to rise into the new narrative. And with that being said, we only work with like-minded organizations that share our values and moral integrity.

We thoroughly screen each partner for the following criteria:
° Integrity
° Impact
° Fair working conditions

When we select the brands, we love the practises of:
° Fair working conditions
° Sustainable materials
° Circular and/or sharing business models
° High-quality and/or local manufacturing
° Pre-loved and vintage items
° Support of craftsmanship and artisanal production
° Handmade goods

And for obvious reasons, we also contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals:
° 5 - Gender Equality,
° 12 - Responsable Consumption and Production and
° 17 - Partnerships for the Goals.
